Our full mammography services are available to you and your patients during this extended lockdown period. This includes Diagnostic Mammograms, Ultrasounds and Biopsies.
We are open for the full day on both Mondays and Wednesdays of each week to accommodate the diagnostic demand.
Patients who fall into the diagnostic Mammo category and can be booked now include:
1. Short term follow-up patients previously Birads3 (usually 6 months follow-ups or shorter) for mammos/mag views or compression views and ultrasound as per Radiologist’s previous recommendations.
2. Patients with lumps, nipple discharge, nipple discoloration, skin changes and dimpling, breast asymmetry, change in breast size, nipple retraction and any other specific breast concern.
3. Significant focal breast pain.
4. Breast oncology patients assessing response to chemo or requiring imaging prior to commencing treatment or prior to surgery.
5. High-risk patients whose referring clinicians do not feel can wait for screening until after lockdown.
6. Extremely anxious patients who feel they cannot delay their screening and are prepared to take all necessary precautions to limit exposure (bring own mask).
Despite these measures, we also understand that some of your patients are not comfortable visiting hospitals during this time, but we have them covered at our non-hospital outpatient venue.
